جاء هذا البحث محاولة لتحديد إمكانية تطبيق التصنيع الرشيق في الشركة العامة لصناعة الأدوية والمستلزمات الطبية - نينوى. إذ أخذ هذا المفهوم يستحوذ على اهتمام العديد من الشركات الصناعية والخدمية في البلدان النامية والمتطورة وخصوصاً تلك التي تحاول الإيفاء باحتياجات زبائنها بشكل آني وبالجودة المناسبة وبأقل ما يمكن من الهدر. ويختلف هذا المفهوم عن المفاهيم التقليدية كونه يركز على القضاء على الهدر وزيادة سرعة التسليم للمخرجات وبالشكل الذي يخفض مستويات المخزون. من هنا فإن هدف البحث هو تقديم أطر نظرية للشركة المبحوثة حول مفهوم التصنيع الرشيق وأهميته ومتطلبات تطبيقه، فضلاً عن التعرف على مدى توافر هذه المتطلبات في الشركة المبحوثة. وتوصل البحث إلى أن الشركة لديها معرفة مقبولة عن هذا المفهوم إضافة إلى توافر المتطلبات الأساسية لتطبيقه فيها، وأنها لا تطبق الأساليب الإحصائية في الرقابة على الجودة.

Abstract This research came to explain the possibility of applying lean manufacturing on State Company for Drugs Industries and Medical appliances-Nineveh. This approach drew the attention to different managerial levels at the industrial and service companies in the progressed and developing countries, especially those who try to meet the demands instantaneously with perfect quality and reduced wastes. It is an approach which differs from traditional concept as much as it focuses on waste reduction and fast throughput, both of which contribute to decrease inventories. Hence, this research aims at introducing theoretical concepts to company management studied including the concept importance of lean manufacturing and its requirements in addition to studying the availability of these requirements in studied company. The research concluded that the company has an acceptable knowledge concerning Lean Manufacturing, in addition to the availability of basic requirements to apply Lean Manufacturing, and it doesn't used statistical quality control
