فتعتبر الفتوى الجماعية المعتبرة للواقع ونوازله ومستجداته، والمجتهدة في تنزيل الأحكام الشرعية وحكمها وأهدافها هي الطريق الصحيح لمعرفة الرأي الأقرب للحق والصواب والصلاح وتحقيق مقصود الشرع، لأن رأي الفرد مهما علا كعبه في العلم، فقد يلمح جانباً في الموضوع لا ينتبه له آخر، وقد يحفظ شيئا ما يغيب عن غيره، وقد تبرز المناقشة نقاطا كانت خافية، أو تتجلى أموراً كانت غامضة، أو تذكر بأشياء كانت منسية، وهذه من بركات الشورى، ومن ثمار العمل الجماعي عمل الفريق، أو عمل المؤسسة، بدل عمل الأفراد. فهي مظهر من مظاهر التعاون والمساواة، والالتقاء على طريق العلم والمعرفة، وباب من أبواب وحدة الأمة الإسلامية ووحدة المشاعر والأفئدة والقلوب، وذلك من خلال عرض المشكلات الاجتماعية التي تهم الأمة وتبادل الآراء حولها والوصول إلى نتائج مثمرة تجلب المصالح وتدرأ المفاسد والأخطار عن الأمة. فالفتوى الجماعية في ظل تعقيدات الحياة المعاصرة وتشابك وتداخل موضوعاتها، تعتبر ضرورة وباباً من أبواب الشورى وتلاقح الآراء وتصويبها وتسديدها، تتكامل بدورها مع مقاصد الشريعة الإسلامية من حيث صلاح الإنسان، وأمنه واستقراره، وإعمار الكون، فبصلاح الإنسان يصلح الكون، وبفساده يفسد
