This research aimed to investigate the degree of social studies teachers' practice (SSTP) of the creative and critical thinking skills in light of some variables (gender, specialization and years of experience). The study sample consisted of (62) teachers from Amman schools in Jordan for the scholastic year (2017–2018). To achieve the study objectives, an instrument has been prepared. It consisted of (29) items and included the creative and critical thinking skills. Results exposed that the degree of practicing critical and creative thinking skills by the social studies teachers (SST) came at low degree. But, showed there weren't statistical significance differences between the sample individuals in degree of practicing the creative and critical thinking skills by the SST attribute to the (gender, years of experience and specialization). The researcher recommended reviewing the training programs, which provided to in–service teachers in the light of creative and critical thinking.
