تعرضت مخطوطات الأوقاف المركزية في محافظة نينوى للسرقة والإهمال، باعتبارها إحدى المؤسسات الثقافية المهمة في المدينة، والتي تحتوي على كنوز من التراث المخطوط . فالبحث تناول المخطوطات التي فقدت من المكتبة استعراضا تاريخيا من خلال الوثائق الرسمية، حيث قام الباحث بخطوة علمية وعملية لجرد ودراسة مخطوطاتها، وتبيان المفقود منها، خاصة بعد تعرضها للسرقة والإهمال، والتي لم تجرد منذ سرقتها سنة 1995م.قسم البحث إلى مبحثين: تناول المبحث الأول: نبذة تاريخية عن نشأة مكتبة الأوقاف العامة في الموصل، في حين تضمن المبحث الثاني: المخطوطات المفقودة، وتم توثيقها تاريخيا وبالوثائق الرسمية، كما الحق البحث بجدول يضم عدد المخطوطات المفقودة في كل خزانة، وكذلك ألحق بنماذج من الصور وعددا من الوثائق الرسمية.وتهدف هذه الدراسة للتعرف على المخطوطات المفقودة في مكتبة أوقاف الموصل، مع إجراء دراسة تحليلية وإحصائية ووثائقية لواقع هذه العملية في مكتبة الأوقاف، والبحث في تاريخ فقدان المخطوطات، والواقع الذي وصلت إليه المخطوطات، كما تهدف إلى التعرف إلى أهم المخطوطات التي فقدت، والتنبيه والإشارة إليها.

WAKFS manuscripts were in the central province of Nineveh, of theft and neglect, as one of cultural institutions in the city and the task which contains the treasures of the heritage of the manuscript.
