تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى الممارسة السوسيولوجية في الجزائر بين الواقع والمأمول لاسيما بعد التغيرات والتحولات التي شهدتها الجزائر والعالم العربي، وهي دراسة وصفية للواقع السوسيولوجي في سياقه التاريخي. وقد حاولت الدراسة التطرق لمراحل تطور الممارسة السوسيولوجية منذ الاستعمار إلى يومنا هذا وإلى التحديات المستقبلية لدراسة الواقع الاجتماعي والمساهمة في تنمية المجتمع. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من النتائج أهمها : - أن هذا العلم لم يرق إلى المستوى المطلوب ولم يثبت وجوده على الساحة الأكاديمية وتوجيه البحوث في خدمة المجتمع. - انهيار منظومة القيم عن طريق الجهل بقيمة العلم كقيمة اجتماعية حضارية. - أن أغلب البحوث السوسيولوجية تظل سجينة الرفوف في المكتبات والمخابر الجامعية. - أن أغلب الدراسات تعتمد على النظريات الغربية المستوردة والتي لا تتوافق وخصوصية المجتمع

This study aims at the sociological practice in Algeria between reality and expectations, especially after the changes and transformations that Algeria has in particular and the Arab world in general, this study describes the sociological reality in its historical context. The study has tried to address or different stages of development of sociological practice from colonization to the present day and challenges in the future for the study of social reality and contribute to the development of society . The study revealed the following results: - That this science has not proved its presence on the academic scene by putting it's research to solve the problems of society - The collapse of the value system of social science into as the value of civilization. - That most sociological research would remain in university shelves and laboratories. - That most studies are based on Western theories that do not take the specificity of the Arab-Muslim society.
