كان العلامةُ الشيخ شعيب الأرناؤوط رحمه الله تعالى أحدَ جهابذة العلماء في هذا العصر، ودرة عقد محققي تراث الأمة.
فإذا ما تكلمت عن الفقه فهو الفقيه الذي يتصبب فقهًا، وإذا سألت عن علوم العربية فهو النحوي الشاعر النحرير صاحب البلاغة والفصاحة، ولا تسل عن علمه في الحديث فليس هناك من ينكر أنه من أولئك القلة الذين يشد إليهم الرحل في علم الحديث، وقبل ذلك وبعده فهو المحقق البارع الذي أخرج لنا كثيرا من مخطوطات تراثنا من غياهب ظلمات المكتبات والمتاحف إلى أيادي طلبة العلم ومحبيه محلاةً بتلك الفوائد والنكات والحواشي التي لا غنى لطالب العلم عنها، نعم إنه شيخنا المحقق المحدث الفقيه النحوي الشاعر أبو أسامة شعيب بن محرم الأرناؤوط.
ولئن كان شيخنا رحمه الله عالما موسوعيًا كما ذكرت آنفا، إلا أنَّ بحثي سيكونُ منصبًا على جهوده رحمه الله تعالى في خدمة تراث الأمة، تخصيصًا " كتب السنة أنموذجا"، حيث قام الباحث بتناول هذا الموضوع في هذا البحث، والذي قسم محتوياته إلى ثلاثة مباحث:
أولها: يختص بالتعريف بالشيخ رحمه الله، وبيان سيرته العلمية.
والثاني: يتعلق بذكر طرف من أهم مؤلفاته وتحقيقاته في شتى العلوم.
أما الثالث: فهو يتناول دراسة موسعة لأهم أعمال الشيخ في كتب السنة.
الملخص الانجليزي
Shuaib El Arnaoot may Allah have mercy upon his soul was one of the best scholars in his time and considered as the leader of those men who realized the Islamic heritage of this Muslim Umah. Concerning Islamic jurisprudence, Shuaib is regarded as the most knowledgeable jurisprudent of his era. When we want to talk about Arabic language, it is worthy to mention that this man has a great knowledge in Arabic grammar as well as Arabic poetry, rhetoric along with high fluency. The science of prophetic Hadith is of one the branches of knowledge in which Shuaib got a big competence where many disciples used to travel to him asking for the Hadith of our prophet peace and blessing be on him. We never forget that our respectable scholar Shuaib saved many manuscripts that belong to our Islamic heritage when he moved them from the dark corners of libraries and museums to the hand of his student after he added to them many nice information and beneficial marginalization that are very necessary for scholars of Islamic science. Our lovely sheik Shuaib was a big encyclopedia, however this research will focus on his efforts in reviving the heritage of this Umah in particular, namely the books of prophetic Hadith(Sunah) as best example. This research will be divided into three parts:
1- The personal and scientific biography of our Sheik.
2- The second part is concerned with his best writings and authoresses.
3- This part will be dedicated to study a group of his best works on the books of prophetic Hadith (Sunah).
