فإن العامل هو اساس المجتمع وهو وسيلة لتحقق الازدهار والعمران وتحسين الاقتصاد في البلدان، فلما كان له هذا التأثير الايجابي في المجتمع اولى له الاهتمام من قبل الشرائع السماوية على العموم وديننا الحنيف على الخصوص، وذلك من خلال النصوص المتوافرة التي تحث على العمل وتشجع العامل أن يبادر ويسعى ويتقن ما يقدمه من عمل، وهذا مثل قوله تعالى (وقل اعملوا فسيرى الله عملكم ورسوله والمؤمنون) وقوله جل وعز (فإذا قضيت الصلاة فانتشروا في الارض) وقوله صلى الله عليه وسلم (اللهم بارك لامتي في بكورها)، وغيرها من النصوص الكثيرة.
ان الاسلام جعل العمل عبادة وشرف حيث قرن الله عز وجل درجته بدرجة المجاهد في سبيل الله لان كلا منهما يبذل مجهودا يفيد مجتمعه ويقدم الخير له.
ولما كان العمل عبادة فهو اذن مرتبط بمبادئ الاسلام، ولهذا فإن أي عمل لا ينافي قيم الاسلام فهو مشروع، وأي عمل ينافي مبادئه فهو ممنوع.
هذا وان الشريعة الاسلامية لا تريد من العامل العمل فقط وانما تحثه على الاحسان في عمله من خلال الاتقان والاحكام يقول صلى الله عليه وسلم (إن الله جل و عز يحب إذا عمل أحدكم عملا أن يتقنه)
ولا بد أن يكون العامل له أخلاقيات في عمله من خلال الالتزام على ما ابرمه في العقد مع صاحب العمل وتنفيذ الشروط التي اتفقوا عليها، وأن يحرص على الوقت فلا يكون مضياعا وأن يكون أمينا، يقول المصطفى صلى الله عليه واله وسلم (لا ايمان من لا أمانة له)
فالعامل بعمله يجعل أمته قوية ومتماسكة ويسهم في عمارة الارض التي أمرنا الله تعالى أن نعمرها كما في قوله تعالى (واستعمركم فيها)
ان ما نشاهده اليوم من تقدم الدول وازدهارها هو بسبب الايدي العاملة الفاعلة، لانها تسد احتياجاتها بنفسها، ولا تحتاج الى غيرها، بالاضافة الى انها تقضي على الافات الضارة المجتمعية الخطرة كالسرقة والرشوة والبطالة وغيرها من الامراض التي تفتك بالمجتمع.
