يعتبر الحصار الإسرائيلي الشامل والمستمر على قطاع غزة أخطر التحديات التي تواجه مجمل العمل الفلسطيني، حيث أن الاحتلال الإسرائيلي لا يزال مستمراً في فرض حصار شديد على قطاع غزة، وفي سيطرته على أجزاء كبيرة من الأرض الفلسطينية في مناطق قطاع غزة، وتقييد حرية الحركة للأفراد والبضائع، كجزء من الاستراتيجية الإسرائيلية التي تهدف إلى تكريس واقع الانفصال بين الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة بحيث تبدو المنطقتين كجزيرتين منفصلتين لا سبيل إلى التواصل فيما بينهما، للهروب من الحل السياسي للقضية الفلسطينية، وتحويل القضية الفلسطينية من قضية حق وتقرير المصير إلى قضية انسانية وتسهيلات ومساعدات إغاثية.
تقيم الدراسة أداء الاقتصاد الفلسطيني في ظل الحصار والانقسام، وتحديد أبرز الأنشطة الاقتصادية التي تأثرت بالحصار والانقسام، وبيان أثر الحصار على الأوضاع الاجتماعية، وتقدم تصور مستقبلي للاقتصاد الفلسطيني.

The comprehensive and continuous Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip is considered the most serious challenge facing the overall Palestinian action, as the Israeli occupation continues to impose a severe blockade on the Gaza Strip, and in its control of large parts of Palestinian land in the Gaza Strip areas, and to restrict the freedom of movement of individuals and goods, As part of the Israeli strategy that aims to consolidate the reality of separation between the West Bank and Gaza Strip so that the two regions appear as two separate islands, there is no way to communicate with each other, to escape from the political solution to the Palestinian issue, and to transform the Palestinian issue from the issue of right and self-determination into an issue Humanitarian, relief facilities and assistance.
The study evaluates the performance of the Palestinian economy in the light of the blockade and division, and identifies the most prominent economic activities affected by the blockade and division, and shows the impact of the blockade on social conditions, and provides a future vision for the Palestinian economy.
