ملخَّص البحث
جاء هذا البحث ليبرز معالم علمية من حياة إمام من أئمة أهل السنة وعالم من علماء الأمة، فقيه مجتهد مقتدى به، كما عرض لأهم كتاب مصنف في السنة والأثر، وفقه الصحابة والتابعين، بل قل فقه السلف بصفة عامة، ألا وهو كتاب "الموطأ" الذي لن أكون مبالغا إن قلت: إنه كتاب "حديث وفقه ووعظ وعقيدة"، بل هو كتابمنهج تصنيفي فريد أبدع فيه صاحبه منهجا علميا رصينا كان له أثر بالغ الأهمية في كل مصنفات السنة بعده.فحاول هذا البحث التنقيب عن المنهج الحديثي والفقهي للإمام مالك من خلال موطئه، ذلك أن الإمام لم يقتصر فيه على ذكر الصحيح من الحديث أو المرفوع، بل أضاف إلى ذلك أثر الصحابة وفتاوى التابعين وفقه الفقهاء السبعة وآراء الأئمة الأعلام.
فهو بحق كتاب جمع علم أهل المدينة وفقه السلف. بالإضافة إلى المنهجية الأصولية العميقة التي كان يتبناها الإمام مالك في وقت لم يكن علم أصول الفقه قد دون بعد وجمع شتاته، إلا أن الإمام اتخذ لنفسه أصولا راعاها في استنباطه للأحكام وتنزيلها على الوقائع.لذا كان "الموطأ" أقدم مصنَّفٍ في السنة النبوية، وآثار الصحابة والتابعين، وفقه أهل المدينة وفقهائها السبعة، وصلنا. فبالإضافة إلى جمعه للسنة، فيه فقه كثير، ومنهج فريد، وهذا البحث جاء ليوضح هذا الأمر ويجليه قدر المستطاع، والله المستعان.

Research Summary:
This research highlights the academic milestones of one of the greatest Sunni's Imam and leading scholar of the ummah; a jurist, mujtahid and examplary for others. This scholar presented the most important compilation on Prophetic traditions, his companions and the tabien, and few general jurisprudence of the predecessor, all in his book "al-Muwatta" which is not exaggerated to say encompassed all "traditions, jurisprudence, sermons and creed of the Prophet". This book adopts distinctive methodological classification in which the writer utilized robust scientific style that leave significant impact for all works after him. This research attempted to explore the methodology of Imam Malik in Prophetic study and jurisdiction through the study of his al-Muwatto; as this book was not limited to the study of authentic hadeeth (sahih) or marfu, but also include the companions' tradition, the fatwas of the followers (tabien), the jurisprudence of the seven scholars (fuqaha as-saba'ah) and the views of famous imams in his time. It is the right book that records the knowledge of the people of Madinah and the jurisprudence of the predecessor. In addition to the vast knowledge of the principle of jurisprudence adopted by Imam Malik at the time where this knowledge had not yet written and collected, still he took for himself this principles to devise the jurisprudence and enact it according to his societal context. Therefore, "Muwatta" was the oldest work on Prophetic tradition, his companions and followers, the jurisprudence of Madinah and its seven scholars, that manage to arrive to us. In addition to the vast collection of the Sunnah jurisprudence and his unique approach, this research aims to clarify this matter with evident as much as possible, and so may Allah ease.
