Cadmium Oxide (CdO) thin films have been Synthesized by Chemical Spray Pyrolysis technique CSP from 0.1M of CdCl2 dissolved in double distilled water at various substrate temperature (300,350,400 oC). Optical characterization of these films have been investigated. The absorbance spectra, extinction and absorbance coefficient will be increased with increasing of the substrate temperature while the refractive index decreased. Energy gap decreased from 2.43 eV for CdO thin film with substrate temperature 300°C to 2.3eV for CdO thin film substrate temperature 400°C.
