هدفت الدراسة الى معرفة دور الجامعات اليمنية في مواجهة ظاهرة الإرهاب , ولتحقيق الهدف استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتم رصد وتحليل الادب والدراسات التي تناولت الظاهرة محليا وعربيا وعالميا ، ودور المؤسسات التربوية في موجهتها ,وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى تحديد مجموعة من الادوار ينبغي على الجامعات اليمنية ان تؤديها لمواجهة هذه الظاهرة ، فمن اهم ادور القيادات الجامعية توفير الامكانيات التعليمية ,وتنظيم الندوات والمؤتمرات حول الظاهرة ,والسماح للمجتمع باستخدام مرافق الجامعة لإقامة فعالياته الدينية والوطنية ,وانشاء المراكز العلمية ,واعادة النظر في التشريعات ,واجراء اصلاحات هيكلية ومضمونيه تضمن اعادة النظر في مضامين البرامج الاكاديمية وتضمين مقرراتها الدراسية لمفهوم الارهاب واثاره ومخاطره واسبابه , وكيفية مواجهته ,ودعم وتشجيع البحث العلمي , وتوظيفه في الكشف عن الاسباب ووضع المعالجات , ومن اهم الادوار التي ينبغي على اعضاء هيئة التدريس تاديتها المشاركة بفاعلية في كل الندوات والمؤتمرات ,واقامة المحاضرات على مستوى الاحياء والقرى والمدارس بهدف توعية الناس بمخاطر الارهاب والافكار الموصلة اليه والدخيلة على مجتمعنا اليمني ,وإبراز سماحة الاسلام ووسطيته ,وتعزيز قيمه بين اوساط الطلبة وافراد المجتمع بشكل عام, وتفعيل الانشطة والمشاركة فيها ,وان يكون دور الطلبة بارزا من خلال القيام بزيارات ميدانية توعوية للمدارس والتجمعات السكنية بهدف التعريف بالارهاب ومخاطره وكيفية تجنبه, والاستفادة من ابحاث التخرج في تسليط الضوء حول الظاهرة وكيفية معالجتها,وقدم الباحث عدد من التوصيات والمقترحات الرامية لتفعيل دور الجامعات اليمنية في مواجهة ظاهرة الارهاب.

The study aimed to identify the role of the Yemeni universities in the face of the phenomenon of terrorism, through setting roles and find out to enable them to carry out their role to combat this phenomenon.
