ظهرت ملامح توظيف تقنيات السرد في الشعر العربي القديم بصورة واضحة في مواضيع كثيرة وبأساليب مختلفة وكان من ابرز التقنيات التي يمكن تسليط الضوء عليها عنصر الشخصية التي تتمحور حولها باقي العناصر, فالشخصية القصصية هي التي تصنع الحدث وتبث الحوار وتستقبله, كما انها تجلي الزمان والمكان وتأخذ حيزا واسعا من الوصف.
تختلف الشخصيات القصصية تبعا للدور الذي تقوم به داخل النص, فمنها (الرئيسة, الاسنادية, الثانوية, الهامشية) وفي الشعر قد يصعب تحديد السمات الكاملة للشخصية, ذلك ان المساحلة الشعرية لا تسمح بتقديم سرد مكثف عنها لان ذلك يقلل من شعرية النص واهميته.
واذ اثرنا في هذه الدراسة التركيز على الشخصيات الهامشية فذلك لأننا وجدنا انها لم تحظَ بدراسات كثيرة على الرغم من اهميتها داخل حدود النص, وقد سلطنا الضوء على تحولات هذه الشخصية وتأثيرها في القصة الشعرية عند ابي ذؤيب الهذلي من خلال مرجعياتها وانماطها.

He features of employing narration techniques in ancient Arabic poetry have appeared clearly in many subjects and in different ways. One of the most prominent techniques that can be highlighted is the element of personality, which is centered around the rest of the elements. The story character is the one who creates the event and broadcasts the dialogue and receives it.
In poetry, it may be difficult to determine the full personality traits. The poetic process does not allow for an extensive account of it because it reduces the poeticness of the text and its importance.
In this study, we focused on the marginal characters because we found that they did not receive many studies despite their importance within the limits of the text, and we have highlighted the transformations of this character and its impact on the story of poetry by Abi Dhu'ayb al-Hadhli through its references and patterns
