تناول البحث ممالك المسلمين في الحبشة من خلال كتاب مسالك الأبصار في ممالك الأمصار لأبن فضل الله العمري ، والذي تحدث المؤلف من خلاله عن ممالك الطراز الإسلامي في الحبشة بعد أن حصل على معلوماته من خلال لقائه بفقهاء الحبشة الذين زاروا مصر .
لقد أعطى العمري صورة تكاد تكون مصغرة عن تلك الممالك من خلال ذكره لجغرافية المنطقة وحدودها بالذات ، فضلاً عن تناوله لغة السكان والمذهب الحنفي الشائع في تلك الممالك سوى مملكة أوفات القريبة من مصر والمعتنقة للمذهب الشافعي ، كما تحدث المؤلف عن الملوك هناك مركزاً في كلامه على ملك مملكة أوفات ومشيراً إلى مجالسه وخروجه وجنده وأسلحتهم . وبعد ذلك يعود ليتحدث عن اقتصاد تلك الممالك ذاكراً عملتها ومزروعاتها ومساكنها وعلاقاتها بالحبشة النصرانية وسيطرة النجاشي على مقدرات تلك الممالك .

Research Summary
The research dealt with the kingdoms of the Muslims in Abyssinia through the book of the paths of sight in the kingdoms of Amasar by Ibn Fadlullah al-Amri, in which the author spoke about the kingdoms of the Islamic style in Abyssinia after he obtained his information through his meeting with the scholars of Abyssinia who visited Egypt.
Al-'Umari gave an almost miniature picture of these kingdoms by mentioning the geography of the region and its limits, as well as the language of the population and the Hanafi school that is common in these kingdoms except the kingdom of Awat, which is close to Egypt and embracing the Shafi'i doctrine. The author also spoke about kings The kingdom of Ophat and pointing to his meetings and his departure and his army and weapons. And then goes back to talk about the economy of those kingdoms mentioned the currency and plantations and housing and relations with the Christian and control of Najashi control of the capabilities of those kingdoms.
