تعتبر الأنهار الدولية من القضايا التي تدخل في مصلحة القانون الدولي من حيث أهميتها من الناحية القانونية أو الفنية ، وتقع في نطاق الاهتمام بموضوع استخدام أو استغلال الأنهار الدولية من قبل الدول الساحلية مما يزيد من أهمية حقوق الدول وواجباتها تجاه بعضها البعض في كيفية استخدام مياه الأنهار الدولية بطريقة لا تسمح بإيذاء الجيران.
يسلط البحث الضوء على موضوع الأنهار الدولية والأمور القانونية الناتجة عن العلاقات بين الدول المطلة على البحر وما ينتج عن استخداماتها. كما يتناول البحث التعاون الإقليمي بين الدول المطلة على البحر من خلال الجهود الدولية الموسعة لتحقيق التعاون الدولي والإقليمي بين دول الجوار من خلال الجهود التي تبذلها الدول والأمم المتحدة في هذا الصدد للوصول إلى أنماط التعاون بين الدول وفق أحكام القانون الدولي العام

The International rivers are considered of the issues that fall within the interest of international law as for the importance of it in legal or technical aspect, and fall within the scope of attention the issue of using or exploiting international rivers by littoral states which raises the importance of the states' rights and their duties toward each other in how to use the water of international rivers in a manner that allows no harm to neighbors.
The research sheds light on the issue of international rivers and the matters of legal problems resulted from relations among the littoral states and what resulting from the uses; also the research deals with regional cooperation among the littoral states through the extended international efforts to achieve international and regional cooperation among neighboring states through efforts done by the states and the United Nations in this regard to access to the modes of cooperation among the states according to the provisions of the general internationa
