وتثقيف النفس في مجال التخصص، أو حتى استشارة المرشد الأكاديمي. وتكون مجتمع البحث من جميع طلاب السنة
التحضيرية في جامعة الجوف، أما عينة البحث تم اختيارها بطريقة عشوائية حيث بلغت ( )021طالب ًا. وقد استخدم
الباحث في هذا البحث أداة واحدة وهي استبانة مغلقة مكونة من ( )01فقرة لجمع بيانات البحث. وأظهرت نتائج
البحث أن أكثر العوامل ارتباط ًا باختيار التخصص لدى طلبة السنة التحضيرية هي العوامل الشخصية يليها العوامل
المهنية بينما كانت العوامل الاجتماعية أقل العوامل ارتباط ًا باختيار الطلاب للتخصص يليها العوامل الأسرية

The aim of this research is to identify the foundations and criteria associated with the choice of university specialization among students
Preparatory year at Jouf University, and see if these criteria differ according to the opportunities available in the market
Work, ambition, and personal desire, and see if there is an effect of the desire of parents, relatives, and friends, and does it take
Students choose the university major seriously, whether by having an idea and previous information about the specialization, and developing

The research found that the factors most associated with the choice of specialization among preparatory year students are personal factors, followed by other factors
Professional factors, while social factors were the least associated with students' choice of major, followed by family factors
