لقد حفل الأدب العربي بالصورة الشعرية منذ القديم، وعبر المراحل الزمنية المختلفة عرفت خلالها تحولات كثيرة، مسّت مختلف ركائزها ومقوماتها؛ فهي الدعامة الفنية التي تميّز بها الشعر العربي، وتعد من أبرز مميزاته وخصائصه الجوهرية، يتّم من خلالها تجسيد المعنى وتوضيحه وتقديمه وفق طريقة لغوية جديدة تُعبّر عن معاني المتخيّل الشعري، فتُترجم مشاعر المبدع وفق أساس فني جديد طُبع عليه روح عصره. لينتج لنا نصا يحمل جملة من العناصر الجمالية التي يصوغ بها أفكاره ويشكل بها رؤاه الخيالية للعالم الداخلي والخارجي والأشياء في محاولة منه لجذب المتلقي وإشراكه في العملية التخييلية والتأثير فيه، هذا الأخير الذي يسعى جاهدا مستعينا بمجموعة من الأدوات الإجرائية لتحليل تلك اللغة الشعرية من جوانبها المختلفة الدلالية والتركيبية والكشف عن صور فنية جديدة ومعاني إيحائية بديعة، تتخللها طاقة تخييلية قوية، بصور شعرية وظفت لتحقيق اللذة والغاية الجمالية التي يصبو إليها المبدع من خلال نتاجه.

Arab literature has celebrated with the poetic image since ancient times, and through the different time stages, during which many transformations were known, it touched its various pillars and its components; New expresses the meanings of the poetic imagination, so the creator's feelings are translated according to a new artistic foundation upon which the spirit of his era is imprinted. To produce a text that bears a number of aesthetic elements in which he formulates his ideas and shapes his imaginary visions of the internal and external world and things in an attempt to attract the recipient and involve him in the imaginary process and influence him, the latter who strives with the help of a set of procedural tools to analyze that poetic language from Its various semantic and synthetic aspects and the detection of new artistic images and wonderful suggestive meanings, interspersed with strong imaginative energy, with poetic images and employed to achieve the pleasure and the aesthetic goal that the creator aspires through his product.
