لقد ولد المجتمع الأندلسي في أحضان الفّكر الدّيني والشّريعة الإسلامية، فعاش محافظا متديّنا، يهوى الالتّزام بالقيّم الأصّيلة تغيب فيه كل مظاهر التّشتّت والتّعصب، وينأى عن التّحزّبات والتّمذهبات. وأخذ هذا النّزوع الدّيني يزداد قوّة وحرارة مع مجيء "ابن الأحمر"، وانحصار الدّولة في مملكة غرناطة، ونتيجّة للظّروف السّياسيّة الّتي مرّت بها المملكة من تكالب نصراني، وفساد في البلاط الحاكم، الأمر الّذي أدّى إلى انصراف جماعي إلى عالم التّعبد والتّنسك. فكان الزّهد والتّصوّف الّذين أبدع فيهما بنو الأحمر أيّما إبداع، بما وظّفوه فيهما من المعاني الرّاقية والقوالب اللّغويّة المتميّزة، والمقاصد الشّريفة. فكان شعرهم مرآة لحياتهم الإجتماعيّة والدّينية، وكل ذلك سوف نلحظه من خلال هذه الدّراسة الّتي تركز أساسا على التّصوّف كظاهرة طبعت الشّعر في ذاك العصر.

Andalusian society was born in the bosom of religious thought and Islamic law. It lived in a religious conservative, liked to adhere to authentic values in which all manifestations of dispersion and fanaticism were absent, and it was far from partisanships and sectarianisms. And this religious tendency began to increase in strength and heat with the advent of "Ibn al-Ahmar", and the confinement of the state in the kingdom of Granada, and as a result of the political conditions that the kingdom went through, from Christian assaults and corruption in the ruling court, which led to a collective departure to the world of worship and asceticism. The asceticism and Sufism in which the Banu Al-Ahmar excelled in any way, thanks to the sublime meanings and distinct linguistic molds that they employed in them, and noble purposes. Their poetry was a mirror of their social and religious life, and all of this will be observed through this study, which mainly focuses on Sufism as a phenomenon that marked poetry at that era.
