إن الفنون وسيلة يعبر بها الفنانون عن مشاعرهم تجاه المجتمع او الطبيعة أو أو أي مظهر من مظاهر الحياة ، أنه يعطي انطباعه عما يراه حوله من خلال الفن سواء بلوحة جميلة او قطعة موسيقية زائفة ،إن عمل الفنان يحرره من مشاعر الخوف او الغضب أو السعادة الكامنة داخله ويبرز ماديا للعيان . وبالتالي يقود ذلك الفنان لحالة من الاستقرار النفسي ، إذا قام أحدنا بكبت مشاعره فقد يسبب له ذلك عقدة نفسية تؤذيه ، وقد سمى فرويد استثمار الكاتب لمشاعره عقده النفسية- بلا وعي -من أجل أعمال فنية عظيمة "بالتسامي" وطبق نظريته هذه على ليونارد دافنشي وغيره . وقد أسس فرويد واتباعه مدرسة في النقد الحديث تدعى بمدرسة التحليل النفسي وتقوم دعائم هذه المدرسة على تحليل الأدب على أسس نفسية وكان من أبرز ممثليها بعد فرويد الفرنسي جاك لاكان .

Arts are a means by which artists express their feelings towards society, nature, or any aspect of life. It gives his impression of what he sees around him through art, whether with a beautiful painting or a pseudo piece of music. The artist’s work frees him from feelings of fear, anger, or happiness inherent in him. Highlights are physically visible. Consequently, that artist leads to a state of psychological stability, if one of us suppresses his feelings, it may cause him a psychological complex that harms him. Freud called the writer's exploitation of his feelings his psychological complex - unconsciously - for great works of art "sublimation" and applied this theory to Leonard Da Vinci and others. Freud and his followers established a school of modern criticism called the School of Psychoanalysis. The foundations of this school are based on analyzing literature on psychological grounds. One of its most prominent representatives after the French Freud was Jacques Lacan.
