This research aim to design system able to detect and recognize the
Arabic poetry meters , this system accomplished this aim by five stages , begin in
Entering stage which take line of poetry Or many lines of poetry directly fom
keyboard or from saved word document file with its basic diacritics in spite of
the Sader Or Ajez of each line written in then same line or in two separated lines
, in the next stage the poetry writing and digital encoding stage its perform its
task in two step , the first convert the entering poetry line from normal writing
style to poetry wiring style , and in the second stage re assembling selected
sequence of animated character encoding with 1 and constant character
encoding with 0 by (5321) representation to easer the task of the next stage
which responsible to determine the correct meter of the inputting poetry , and
this done by pattern matching technique between the pattern that come a result
from previous and pattern data base with content more then 80 pattern of the
sixteen Arabic poetry meters with most of the changes that can take please to its
parts line(Zehfat , Aleal) . in last stage the outputting stage give the user the
ability to trace the result of all the system stages through output screen or output
report . to confirm the system work we test its work on over one hundred poetry
line and multiple poetry lines of older and modern Arabic vertical poetry and its
succeed to determine more the correct meter to 85 of them .
