لا يخفى أن القرآن الكريم نزّل مُنَجَّماً على النبي ﷺ في ثلاث وعشرين سنة، وسور القرآن منها مكيّ ومنها مدنيّ، ومنها بعض آياته مكية وبعضها مدنية، ومنها مختلف فيها بين المكي والمدني، واعترض مشركو قريش هذا التفريق في النزول، كما قال الله تعالى: {وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ جُمْلَةً وَاحِدَةً كَذَلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِ فُؤَادَكَ وَرَتَّلْنَاهُ تَرْتِيلًا}[الفرقان: 32]. وعلّل- الله - ذلك؛ لتثبيت فؤاد النبي ﷺ. ولا بد من معرفة مكان نزول السور والآيات لمعرفة الناسخ والمنسوخ؛ لأن السورة أو الآية المدنية تنسخ السورة أو الآية المكية؛ لأن المتأخر في النزول ينسخ المتقدم، وكذلك للاستعانة بها في تفسير القرآن الكريم، لتعين في فهم المراد من الآية ومعرفة مدلولاتها، والمفسر ابن عطية اعتنى كثيراً بهذا الجانب في تفسيره، وضعّف أقوالاً لمخالفتها مكان نزول الآية؛ لذا اخترت هذا الموضوع، وقسمت البحث على مقدمة ومبحثين وخاتمة، المبحث الأول: ابن عطية مصطلحاته ومنهجه في تضعيف أقوال المفسرين لمخالفتها مكان النزول، والثاني: الأقوال التي ضعّفها ابن عطية لمخالفتها مكان النزول.
