هدفت الدراسة إلى رصد تطور الأوضاع الاقتصادية في فلسطين بعد الانسحاب الإسرائيلي من قطاع غزة عام 2005 وما ترتب على ذلك من تغيرات طرأت على الاقتصاد الفلسطيني، وتقديم تصور مستقبلي للاقتصاد الفلسطيني.
وتضمنت الدراسة أربعة أقسام رئيسية، تناول الأول مقدمة الدراسة، واستعرض الثاني واقع الاقتصاد الفلسطيني بعد الانسحاب الإسرائيلي من قطاع غزة عام 2005 وحتى عام 2019، ورصد الثالث التغيرات الاقتصادية التي طرأت على الاقتصاد الفلسطيني، بينما اختص الرابع بتقديم تصور مستقبلي للاقتصاد الفلسطيني يعتمد تنفيذه على ثلاثة مراحل.
وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من النتائج، أهمها: أثرت التطورات والتغيرات التي طرأت على الاقتصاد الفلسطيني بعد الانسحاب الإسرائيلي أحادي الجانب من قطاع غزة عام 2005، على الاقتصاد الفلسطيني وتسببت في تراجع وتدهور النشاط الاقتصادي وارتفاع معدلات البطالة واتساع دائرة الفقر واضطراب المناخ الاستثماري. كما استغلت إسرائيل التطورات والتغيرات التي طرأت بعد الانسحاب أحادي الجانب من قطاع غزة، في عزل قطاع غزة عن الضفة الغربية وعن العالم الخارجي من خلال الحصار الاقتصادي الشامل الذي فرضته على القطاع في عام 2007.
وبالإضافة إلى ذلك وفر الانقسام الفلسطيني بيئة مناسبة لإسرائيل لفرض الحصار على قطاع غزة، وإغلاق المعابر ومنع حرية الحركة للأفراد والبضائع، ولشن الاعتداءات العسكرية المتكررة، ولحرمان الفلسطينيين من الاستفادة من الغاز المكتشف في بحر غزة، وللسيطرة على المنطقة ج وحظر أي نشاط استثماري فيها، ونهب المياه ومنع وصول الفلسطينيين إلى أراضيهم.
وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة استعادة الوحدة من خلال تحقيق مصالحة حقيقية، ينتج عنها اندماج كامل لاقتصادي الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة، وكذلك ضرورة التوجه إلى المجتمع الدولي والمؤسسات والمنظمات الدولية، وعلى رأسها الأمم المتحدة للضغط الحقيقي والجاد على إسرائيل لإنهاء الحصار وفتح كافة المعابر والمنافذ الفلسطينية أمام حركة الأفراد والبضائع دون قيود أو شروط

The study aimed to monitor the development of economic conditions in Palestine after the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in 2005 and the consequent changes in the Palestinian economy, and presenting a future vision for the Palestinian economy.
The study included four main sections, the first dealt with the introduction of the study, the second reviewed the reality of the Palestinian economy after the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in 2005 and until 2019, and the third monitored the economic changes that occurred in the Palestinian economy, while the fourth was concerned with presenting a future vision of the Palestinian economy whose implementation depends on three Phase.
The study reached a number of results, the most important of which were: The developments and changes in the Palestinian economy following the unilateral Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in 2005 affected the Palestinian economy and caused the decline and deterioration of economic activity, high unemployment rates, Israel also exploited developments and changes following the unilateral withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, isolating the Gaza Strip from the West Bank and the outside world through the comprehensive economic blockade it imposed on the Gaza Strip in 2007.
In addition, the Palestinian division provided an appropriate environment for Israel to impose a blockade on the Gaza Strip, to close the crossings, to prevent the movement of individuals and goods, to launch repeated military attacks, to deprive the Palestinians of the gas discovered in the Gaza Sea and to control Area C, Water and preventing Palestinian access to their land.
The study recommended the necessity of restoring the unity through real reconciliation, resulting in full integration of the economy of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, as well as the need to go to the international community and international institutions and organizations, especially the United Nations, to exert real and serious pressure on Israel to end the siege and open all Palestinian crossings and ports to the movement of individuals And goods without restrictions or conditions.
