تتسم مرحلة المراهقة والشباب بحدة المشكلات التي تواجه المراهقين والشباب، نتيجة للرهافة والحساسيّة وعدم الضبط الانفعالي، وقلة الخبرة لمواجهة مواقف الحياة، والنظرة الذاتيّة في الحكم على ما تواجههم من أشياء ماديّة أو معنويّة، ومن نتائج ذلك ما يوقع الشباب في مشكلات ومواقف تتناقض مع قيم المجتمع، الأمر الذي تبدو معه أهميّة مسؤولية الآباء والمربين في تهيئة المناخ المناسب في البيئة الأسريّة والمدرسيّة والمجتمع، للحد - التقليل - ما أمكن من المشكلات التي تواجه الشباب ومساعدتهم على تجاوزها.
وتناول الباحث لأهم المشكلات التي تواجه الشباب في المجتمع ، والتي يتمثل قدر كبير منها في بلادنا العربيّة والإسلاميّة.
