يناقش بحث "الحوكمة البيئية وعلاقتها بالتنمية المستدامة: دراسة مفاهيمية ونظرية" مجموعة من المفاهيم والنظريات ذات الصلة بالحوكمة البيئية وعلاقتها بالتنمية المستدامة، حيث يوضح أهمية الحوكمة كمقاربة بيئية لتحقيق التنمية المستدامة، والتي تقوم بها السلطات العليا للدولة باعتبارها الفاعل الرئيسي. كما توضح دراستنا أهم فواعل الحوكمة البيئية والتحديات التي تواجه تطبيقها في الدول النامية، وتنطلق من فرضية أن للحوكمة البيئية دور في تحسين مؤشرات التنمية المستدامة و تحقيق الأمن البيئي للدول، معتمدين في دراستنا على المدخل البيئي كأهم المداخل في تحليل المسائل البيئية. ثم التوصل إلى نتيجة أن الحوكمة البيئية تعتبر من أهم آليات العمل الفعالة لمواجهة المشكلات البيئية. فهذه الدراسة تسعى لتبيان مفهوم الحوكمة البيئية، فواعلها، مؤشراتها، أهم نظرياتها، ودورها في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة.

The research "Environmental Governance and its Relationship to Sustainable Development: A Conceptual and Theoretical Study" discusses a set of concepts and theories related to environmental governance and its relationship to sustainable development. Our study also shows the most important actors in environmental governance and the challenges facing its implementation in developing countries. It is based on the hypothesis that environmental governance has a role to play in improving sustainable development indicators for countries, based on our study on the environmental approach as the most important entry in the analysis of environmental issues. Then it came to the conclusion that environmental governance is one of the most important effective working mechanisms to deal with environmental problems. So, this study seeks to clarify the concept of environmental governance, its actors and indicators, the most important theories and their role in achieving sustainable development.
