هدفت الدراسة إلى تعرف دور الأسرة الأردنية في التربية الأخلاقية لأبنائها من وجهة نظر الوالدين، وتعرف أثر كل من متغيرات المستجيب والمستوى التعليمي للوالدين ومستوى الدخل وعدد أفراد الأسرة والسكن والإقليم على دور الأسرة في التربية الأخلاقية لأبنائها. حيث اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التطويري وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (4000) أب وأم في المجتمع الأردني، تم اختيارهم بالطريقة العشوائية البسيطة . وقد تم تطوير استبانة لتعرّف مستوى دور الأسرة في التربية الأخلاقية لأبنائها من وجهة نظر الوالدين وتم التحقق من صدق وثبات الأداة،
وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن المتوسط العام لأداة مستوى دور الأسرة الأردنية في التربية الأخلاقية لأبنائها جاء بدرجة كبيرة في جميع المجالات. حيث جاء مجال القيم الاجتماعية في المرتبة الأولى، يليه مجال القيم الاقتصادية ثم مجال الدور الوقائي للأسرة ثم مجال الدور العلاجي للأسرة، ثم المجال الفكري يليه المجال النمائي للأسرة، بينما أحتل مجال القيم الجمالية المرتبة الأخيرة. وأشارت النتائج المتعلقة بالسؤال الثاني إلى وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا في أداة الدور التربوي الأخلاقي للأسرة تبعاً لمتغير المستجيب وظهرت الفروق في مجال الدور الإنمائي للأسرة، والدور العلاجي، والقيم الفكرية، والقيم الجمالية وكانت الفروق لصالح الآباء، ووجود فروق دالة إحصائيا في أداة الدور التربوي الأخلاقي للأسرة تبعاً لمتغيرات المستوى التعليمي، مستوى الدخل، عدد الأبناء، مكان السكن والإقليم وظهرت الفروق في جميع مجالات أداة الدور التربوي الأخلاقي للأسرة.

The study aimed to identify the role of the Jordanian family in moral education of its children from the perspective of parents’, and find out the impact of the study variables; responder variables, parents’ level of education, number of family members, housing and region on the family’s role in the moral education of its children. The study adopted the descriptive developmental approach, and the sample of the study consists of (4000) fathers and mothers from the Jordanian society. A questionnaire was designed to identify the level of the family’s role in the moral education of its children as perceived by the parents. The study instrument was applied to the study sample after verifying its validity and reliability.
The study results revealed that the overall mean of the level of the Jordanian family’s role in the moral education of its children was large in all fields as the social values field came first, followed by the field of economic values, the field of the protective role, the field of the therapeutic role, the intellectual field, the developmental field and the aesthetic field, respectively.
The results of the second question showed that there are statistically significant differences in the family’s role in the moral education according to the respondent variable, and the differences appeared in the fields of the family’s developmental role, the therapeutic role, intellectual values, and aesthetic values. The differences were in favor of the fathers. The results also indicated that there are statistically significant differences in the tool of the family’s moral educational role according to the variables of the educational level, income level, number of children, place of residence and region. The differences appeared in all fields of the instrument.
