حظي التنظير التصوري للاستعارة باهتمام بالغ النظير خاصّة من وجهة نظر اللسانيات العرفانية التي ترى أنّ الاستعارة تُبـَنـْيــِنُ نسقنا التصوري فتعمل على تنظيم معارفنا وسلوكات حياتنا،وتكشف عن أشكال التفاعل داخل المجتمع فنفهم بنيته ونظامه .
وقد أثبتت العديد من الدراسات أنّ استخدام الاستعارة في النصوص التعليمية قد أسهم بشكل كبير في زيادة قدرة الدارسين على تذكّر المعلومات والخروج باستنتاجات والإجابة على أسئلة وحلّ مشكلات.
ولهذا السبب جاء هذا البحث ليكشف عن أبعاد اللغة العلمية انطلاقا من توجّه يؤمن بأنّ الاستعارة ليست من ممتلكات الأدب وإنّما باعتبارها آلية ذهنية بها نتواصل وبها نحيا وبها نفهم واقعنا وبها ننظم معارفنا.
وحتى نتتبّع فاعلية تلك الاستعارات على طريقة جورج لايكوف ومارك جونسن قمنا برصدها داخل بعض النصوص التي أُعِدّت لمخاطبة الدارسين في أطوار تعليمية مختلفة.

The conceptual theorizing of metaphor has received great attention especially from the point of view of customary linguistics, which holds that metaphor builds our conceptual pattern and works to organize our knowledge and life behaviors, and reveals the forms of interaction within society so that we understand its structure and system. Many studies have proven that the use of metaphor in educational texts has contributed significantly to increasing learners' ability to remember information, draw conclusions, answer questions and solve problems. For this reason, this research came to reveal the dimensions of scientific language based on a trend that believes that metaphor is not a property of literature but as a mental mechanism by which we communicate, by which we live, by which we understand our reality and by which we organize our knowledge. In order to trace the effectiveness of these metaphors in the manner of George Laykov and Mark Johnson, we have observed them in some texts prepared to address learners in different educational stages.
