لقد برع العديد من العلماء المسلمين العرب في وضع العديد من النظريات والقوانين الاقتصادية التي مازلنا نستعملها في وقتنا الحالي.
ومن بين هؤلاء العلماء نذكر ابن خلدون ومن أهم مؤلفاته "كتاب السكة"في "المقدمة"،أحمد بن يحيي بن جابر البغدادي ومن أهم مؤلفاته "كتاب النقود",القلقشندي في كتابه "الدنانير المسكوكة مما يضرب بالديار المصرية" والمقريزي ومن أهم مؤلفاته "شدود العقود في ذكر النقود "و"إغاثة الأمة في كشف الغمة".
رغم هذه الانجازات للعلماء العرب والمسلمين في المجال الاقتصادي إلى أننا كشعوب عربية وإسلامية نسعى إلى تعظيم البحوث الغربية ،وحتى لا نذكر في مناهجنا النظريات الاقتصادية التي كان المسلمين سباقين إليها ،بل ندرس في كليتنا نظريات غربية ولكنها في الأصل لعلماء مسلمين.

Many Arab Muslim scholars excelled in developing many economic theories and laws that we still use today.
Among these scholars we mention Ibn Khaldun, and one of his most important works is “Kitab al-Sikka” in the “Introduction”, Ahmed bin Yahya bin Jaber al-Baghdadi, and one of his most important works is “Book of Money”, al-Qalqshandi in his book “The Coined Dinars that Strike the Egyptian Homes” and al-Maqrizi and one of his most important works is “Shaddud” Contracts in Remembrance of Money” and “Relief to the Nation in Revealing the Grief”.
Despite these achievements of Arab and Muslim scholars in the economic field, we, as Arab and Islamic peoples, seek to maximize Western research, so that we do not mention in our curricula the economic theories that Muslims were the first to follow. Rather, we study in our college Western theories, but they are originally for Muslim scholars.
