This study aims to show the effectiveness of the pilot (Guinness) programme based on the Cognitive Behavioral Theory in developing the assertion behavior among the students of Salman Bin Abdul Azeez University. The study sample consisted of 120 students from the faculty of education. They were distributed into two groups: a controlling group and an experimental group, each group consisted of 60 students. The experimental group underwent to an indicative tarining of (17) sessions, whereas the controlling group didn't get any training sessions. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used two tools: the first one was the Scale of Conduct assertion and the second one was the giudness programme of developing the assertion behavior. He also used the Averages, standard deviations and Pearson correlation coefficient to process the data statistically. The study results were the following: There were statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05= ) between the arithmetic averages of the study sample to estimate the level of the assertion behavior ( among them as a whole) to subsequent response due to the two variables of the study (with a taring programme or without a traing programme) and (the educational leve either first, second, third or fourth year).
