يعدّ التراث منجمًا زاخرًا بالأفكار الخصبة، والأحداث الخيالية التي يمنحها المبدع ثراء عاطفيًّا، وقيمة فكريّة ذات دلالة معاصرة، استنادًا لما يختزنه من قيم روحيّة عميقة ذات قدرة على الحضور المؤثر، والاستمرار في الأجيال اللاحقة.
تتناول هذه الدراسة جماليات استلهام الشخصية التراثيّة بصفاتها البطوليّة في المسرحيّة الشعريّة " ميشع ملك مؤاب المنقذ" للشاعر الأردني سعيد يعقوب، الذي انطلق من إرث تاريخي خصب أبرز قدرة واضحة على توظيف الأحداث التاريخية في قالب معاصر.
لقد كشفت المسرحية عن تناغم الشخصية الرئيسية (ميشع) مع ذاكرة المتلقي داخل المتخيّل الجمعي، وذلك لخصوبتها الفكريّة ، والحاجة الملحة إلى استدعاء البطولة التاريخية في زمان انكسار، فضلًا عمّا تتمتع به هذه الشخصية من قدرة على الانتقال من بعدها التاريخي الموغل في القدم إلى بُعد معاصر، يختفي معه صوت الشاعر، ويرتفع صوت ميشع ملك مؤاب المنقذ. اتضحت في المسرحية رؤية الشاعر الفكريّة وموقفه من التاريخ، حيث تجسّد ذلك في بناء الشخصيات الدراميّة، وظهور صفات الشخصيّة الثوريّة ، فضلًا عن وضوح الصراع المؤجج للأحداث في قالب فني خضع لتقاليد المسرح الراسخة، وقوة الشعر التعبيريّة، وإيقاعه المؤثر.

Tradition is full of rich and fertile ideas and fictional events which can be enriched emotionally and intellectually by a creative writer because of the deep spiritual values that are able to exist and to affect next generations.
This study examines the aesthetics of bringing together the traditional character with its heroic features in the poetic play "Mesha: the Savior King of Moab“ by the Jordanian Poet Said Yaqub who employs the historical tradition of Moab in a contemporary framework.
The characters of the play are not used as a means of expression but a method to reveal the inner self of Mesha and his intellectual visions, and his psychological nature and their role in enriching the dialouge in a heroic spirit that exceeds the limits of the time and place of the play.
The play reveals the harmony between the main character Mesha and the memory of the receiver inside the imagination because of its intellectual fertility and the necessity to recall historical heroism in a time of break and the ability of this character to move from its old historical dimension to a contemporary dimension that hides the voice of the poet and raises the voice of the savior King of Moab ; Mesha.
The play clarifies the intellectual vision of the poet and his and historical attitude through the advent of revolutionary characters and the portrayal of characters and the rich conflict that keeps up with the dramatic traditions, and the poet's high expressive power and the effective rhythm.
