يمثل التعليم عن بعد والدورات التدريبية فرصة للاستفادة من الإنترنت ليُدّر ربحًا ثابتًا للمُعلمين وليمكنّهم من الوصول إلى قطاعات أوسع من المتعلمين، فلم تعدّ بحاجة إلى الذهاب إلى مركز تعليمي لإلقاء محاضرتك التدريبية أمام عدد محدود من الطلاب في نطاق موقعك الجغرافي، إذ يوفر التعلم عن بعد فرصة إنشاء المحتوى التعليمي الذي تود مشاركته مع الآخرين ممن يبحثون بشوق عنه.
لا يعني ذلك ضرورة أن تمتلك محتوى علميًا متعمقًا أو أكاديميًا بقدر ما هو مهم أن يكون شخصيًا ويعبر عن خبرة تود مشاركتها مع الآخرين أو معرفة نتجت عن تجربة مررت بها. وقد تتخذ الدورة أو الكتاب أشكالًا مختلفة مثل: كتاب رقمي (PDF) أو كتاب على Kindle الخاص بأمازون أو سلسلة فيديوهات تعليمية في موضوع ما.
يتميز التدريس عبر الإنترنت بكونه يمثل مصدر دخل سلبي لك، إذ ستنشئ محتواك ثم تطرحه للبيع مرات عديدة كمنتج تعليمي دون الحاجة إلى بذل مجهود إضافي. وفي ظل سعي الكثيرين للتعلم المستمر تمتد آفاق التدريس لتشمل موضوعات مختلفة ومتعددة تغطي كل المجالات تقريبًا.

Distance education and training courses represent an opportunity to take advantage of the Internet to generate a stable profit for teachers and enable them to reach wider sectors of learners. You no longer need to go to an educational center to deliver your training lecture in front of a limited number of students within your geographical location. Create educational content that you want to share with others who are eagerly searching for it.
This does not mean that you have to have in-depth scientific or academic content, as much as it is important that it be personal and express an experience that you would like to share with others or knowledge that resulted from an experience you had. A course or book may take different forms such as a digital book (PDF), a book on Amazon's Kindle, or a series of educational videos on a topic.
Teaching online has the advantage of being a passive income source for you, as you will create your content and then put it up for sale many times as an educational product without having to put in any extra effort. In light of the pursuit of continuous learning by many, the horizons of teaching extend to include many different subjects covering almost all fields.
