نهر النيل
أن نهر النيل هو شريان الحياة لما يقرب من 14مليون فرد فهو مصدر لجذب السكان فمثلا في جمهورية مصر العربية يتركز معظم السكان في محافظة القاهرة وفي السودان يتركز السكان في مدينة الخرطوم حيث تقع علي جانبي نهر النيل ولنهر النيل العديد من الفوائد والمنافع.

• هو أطول أنهار العالم حيث يبلغ طوله 6695 كيلو متر مربع حيث ينبع من بحيرة تدعى فكتوريا في الجنوب ليتجه شمالا نحو المصب في البحر المتوسط.
• ويقع على طول نهر النيل عشرة دول تعرف بدول حوض النيل وهما (تنزانيا، ورواندا، وبوروندي، وأوغندا، وجمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية، وإريتريا، وكينيا، وإثيوبيا، وجنوب السودان، والسودان، ومصر.
