يُرافق بعض الآلات الإيقاعيّة الغشائيّة، إذا توفّرت الظّروف الملائمة لذلك، "نَغمٌ" محدودٌ في الزّمن وضعيف في استقراره، لكنّ أثره واضح من خلال الرسوم الطيفيّة، وهو ما دعانا لاختيار مُصطلح "تنغيم" لهذه الظاهرة وجعلها مبحثا من اهتماماتنا العلميّة. ومع تطور صناعة الآلات الإيقاعيّة وحرفيّة العازفين أصبح "التنغيم" أكثر وضوحا وهو ما دعانا للبحث عن أثره في الفنون التراثيّة العمانيّة عبر انتقاء أمثلة من الاحتفالات العامّة وإدراجها للتدوين الموسيقي والتحليل باعتماد ما توفر لدينا من عيّنات صوتيّة وبرمجيّات إعلاميّة.
وسنحاول من خلال هذه الورقات التعريف بظاهرة "التنغيم" من جوانبه اللغويّة والموسيقيّة والفيزيائيّة الصوتيّة، لننتقل في مرحلة ثانية إلى التعريف بخصوصيات تصويت الآلات الإيقاعيّة الجلديّة وهو ما سيمكّننا من تحديد أثر هذه الظاهرة في عدد من الآلات الإيقاعيّة العمانيّة العريقة. وهي مدخل ضروريّ للوقوف على أثر "التنغيم" من خلال التنفيذ الإيقاعي الجماعي وربط علاقته بالأثر الفنّي في جميع جوانبه.

Some membranophones instruments, if the appropriate conditions are available, are accompanied by a “tone” that is limited in time and weak in stability, but its effect is clear through spectral graphics, which prompted us to choose the term “tune” for this phenomenon and make it a subject of our scientific interests. With the development of percussion instruments and the craftsmanship of the players, "tune" became more evident, which prompted us to search for its impact on the Omani heritage arts by selecting examples from public ceremonies and including them for musical notation and analysis by relying on the available audio samples and computing software.
Through these papers, we will try to define the phenomenon of "toning" from its linguistic, musical, and acoustic aspects. In a second stage, we will move on to defining the characteristics of the sound of leather percussion instruments, which will enable us to determine the impact of this phenomenon on several ancient Omani percussion instruments. It is a necessary entry point to find out the effect of "toning" through collective rhythmic execution and to link its relationship to the artistic effect in all its aspects.
