ABSTRACT The present research was planned to synthesize chlorinated chalcone derivatives by condensing acetophenone with chlorinated benzaldehyde in presence of sodium hydroxide. The anti-inflammatory activity was evaluated practically by measuring cotton bellets induced granuloma. Theoretical evaluation was made by using HyperChem software. Chlorinated chalcone derivatives (CHD) showed comparable anti-inflammatory effect to diclofenac sodium, and less than dexamethsone.
