هدف البحث إلى دراسة الأزمة الاقتصادية التي عصفت بإيالة طرابلس الغرب خلال الثلث الأول من القرن التاسع عشر في فترة حكم يوسف باشا القرمانلي 1795- 1832م. وذلك من خلال محاولة معالجة أسبابها المرتبطة: بضعف الخطة الاقتصادية التي اعتمد عليها يوسف باشا القرمانلي في إعداد ميزانية إمارته، وما ترتب عنها من حركات رفض وعصيان على الصعيد الداخلي، الأمر الذي أرهق كاهل الباشا، وكذا ارتباطها بالظروف السياسية. وقد واستخدم لتحقيق أهدافها المنهج السردي التحليلي. ومن نتائجها أن الضرائب الباهظة التي فرضت على سكان الإيالة قد شكلت عبئًا كبيرًا عليهم، مِّمَّا تسبب في استنزاف قدرات الأهالي الاقتصادية، وقد أدت وسائل العنف التي اتبعت في جمعها إلى إثارة السخط، لذا انتشرت روح الانتفاضة والثورة التي ما أن بدأت لم تنتهِ حتى أطاحت بالأمير القرمانلي، ومِنْ ثَمَّ أسرته نهائيًّا من على حكم الإيالة.

Abstract
This research paper aims to study the economic crisis that wracked
Trablus garp Eyaleti "the Province of west Tripoli" during the first third
of 19th century in which the province was ruled by Yusuf Pasha alQaramanli 1795-1832 AD. The economic crisis was studied through
attempting to treat its reasons related to the poor economic policy
which has been adopted by the ruler to prepare the general budget of
the province. Implementing the economic policy and existing political
circumstances in that time led to repudiation movements and
insubordination internally which therefore overburdened the Pasha. The
narrative analytical approach was used to achieve the objectives of this
study. The study found that the excessive taxes which have imposed
upon the people of West Tripoli Province depleted their economic
capabilities. Also, the methods of violence which were used in
collecting the taxes aroused resentment, and as a result of that, the
revolution spread until it toppled the Prince Al-Qaramanli and then his
family forever from ruling on the Wilaya.
