يهدف البحث إلى تبيين جهود المنظمات الدولية والإقليمية ودورها في مكافحة الإرهاب بجميع اشكاله والوانه والتصدي له بكافة الوسائل، وذلك لما يحمله من خطر يهدد البشرية جمعاء. ويعتمد هذا البحث على عدة مناهج منها، المنهج الوصفي والتاريخي والمنهج التحليلي والمنهج القانوني. ولقد خلُص البحث إلى مجموعة نتائج منها أن جرائم الإرهاب في هذا العصر خطيره جدا لما تسببه من قتل ودمار في كل انحاء العالم، كما يوضح الدور المهم الذي تلعبه المنظمات الدولية والإقليمية في هذا الشأن.
بالنسبة لمكافحة الإرهاب والتصدي له وان ما تقوم به هذه المنظمات سواء منها الدولية او الإقليمية مهم جدا، ومن شانه ان يحفظ السلم والامن الدوليين. ولقد اوصيت في هذا البحث إلى عديد التوصيات، منها انه يجب على المنظمات الدولية والإقليمية أن تبحث عن مسببات الإرهاب ودارستها من أجل الوصول إلى الحد من جرائم الإرهاب وتقديم الحلول المناسبة له. كذلك يجب على المنظمات الدولية والإقليمية ان تعمل على تعزيز الديموقراطية واحترام حقوق الانسان لأن ذلك يقلل من جرائم الإرهاب.
وأخيرا يجب على المنظمات الدولية والإقليمية تقديم المساعدة إلى الدول الفقيرة في برامج التنمية وذلك للحد من انتشار الإرهاب وتطوره.

The research aims to show the efforts of international and regional organizations and their role in combating and confronting terrorism, by all means and in all its forms and colors, because of the danger it poses to all humanity.
This research depends on several methods, including the descriptive and historical methods in addition to the analytical and legal methods. It came to a set of conclusions including that; the crimes of terrorism in this time are very dangerous because of the killing and destruction they cause in all parts of the world. It also shows the important role being played by the international and regional organizations in this regard.
With regard to combating and confronting terrorism, and what these international and regional organizations are doing is very important, and would maintain international peace and security.
In this research, I have made several recommendations, including that the international and regional organizations should search for and study the causes of terrorism in order to reduce terrorist crimes and provide the appropriate solutions for that. In addition, the international and regional organizations must work for strengthening democracy and respect human rights, as this would reduce terrorist crimes.
Finally, the international and regional organizations must provide assistance to poor countries in the development programs in order to limit the spread and increase of terrorism.
