التنمية المستدامة مصطلح ياخذ بنظر الاعتبار الابعاد الاقتصادية والاجتماعية في العالم وهذا يعني أن التنمية مصطلح اقتصادي و اجتماعي يعمل على أستغلال الموارد المتاحة بصورة تلبي كافة أحتياجات الافراد مع الاحتفاظ بحق الاجيال القادمة وهذا الابعاد رسمت من قبل هيئة الامم المتحدة على شكل خارطة للتنمية البيئية والاجتماعية وكذلك الاقتصادية والهدف من ذلك تحسين الظروف المعيشية لكل افراد هذا المجتمع وكذلك تطوير الوسائل الانتاجية واساليبها وادارتها بشكل يؤمن عدم استنزاف موارد الارض الطبيعية بكل الموارد و كأنهاالمتجهات والهدف نغهم من ذلك ان التنمية المستدامة هو الحد من حالات عدم المساواة لبناء تجمعات مزهرة متحقق فيها السلام والعدالة وهذا يعني انها دعوة الى انشاء عالم مثالي لايهمل احد ولتحقيق التنمية المستدامة يتطلب القضاء على الفقر والقضاء على الجوع والبؤس للحصول على مستوى جديد من التعليم وكذلك توفير الطاقة النظيفة والمساواة بين الجنسين وتوفير عمل لائق لكافة افراد المجتمع.
