Urban design always refers to whole , to a relation between many parts ,and anything deals with context .Urban design is an intermediate issue between planning and architecture . It is difficult to see the whole environment for the individual building and space. Sustainable design is an adventure for integrated economic , social ,and environmental quality. It is logical use of natural resources , sustainable management of buildings. Sustainable design corporate in material saving , energy consumption , environment improvement , through the complete cycle of the building , which depends on : design , structure , accommodation maintained , recycling , reusing environment quality , function , beauty and future values , in a way of integration between human and environment .
The research concentrated on the values which affected housing urban design to be sustainable, by mentioning basic factors of sustainable urban housing design evaluation to be sustainable according to(Leeds) standards and environmental design .The research found out to an important issue , that there is integration between urban design , housing and sustainability , affect human to be part of his \ her environment. Urban housing design is integrated indicators of social , economic , technological , environmental, safety & security , which contains many values, affect the cycle of urban , urban housing design & sustainability. The research aims at determining the values between urban planning , urban housing design & sustainability .Analytical methodology depended on getting the findings & results .Various conceptions ,through choices , permeability , activity , legibility , variety , flexibility , and energy efficiency , according to urban form values of , connections , buildings spaces , mixing uses , spaces around , green area, defining places ,and built form lay out which represent socio- spatial , economic , environment , and technological systems , for urban housing design to be sustainable , as findings.
