The reception of Western concepts in Arab culture remains a source of
confusion. Since the Arab Renaissance period, the Arab thinker has made
many attempts to environment the Western concepts that he was exposed to
as a result of his friction with the other. He started with the concept of
renaissance and neighboring concepts, including the concept of liberalism, to
