Dr. Mohammed Sahib Mechee got his B.Sc. (Math) and M.Sc. (Applied Math) from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Baghdad, Baghdad, Iraq in 1988 and 1991, respectively. He got his PhD degree in the field of numerical analysis from the Institute of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2014. Dr. Mechee joined the academic staff at the University of Kufa in 1992. His main research interest is Numerical Analysis, especially numerical solutions of ordinary and partial differential equations, with applications in science and engineering. His interests also include computer programming (with focus on MATLAB, C++, Pascal and Visual Basic), operation research, linear and nonlinear programming, mathematical modeling, computer graphics, and matrix algebra.
