تضمنت نتائج هذه الدراسة الكشف عن طفيلي الاميبا الخاله للنسيح Entamoeba histolytica في المرضى المصابين بالإسهال في مستشفى الأطفال في محافظة الديوانية خلال الفترة من يونيو وحتى ديسمبر 2014 ، وكان عدد العينات 170 عينة براز لعمر (2 شهر –سنة واحدة )، تم فحص هذه العينات بطريقة المسحة المباشرة باستخدام محلول ملحي طبيعي ومحلول باليود ، وكانت هناك 88 عينة إيجابية بنسبة مئوية 51.76 ، وكانت النسبة المئوية أقل 36.17 ٪ المسجلة في سن (1-6 أشهر) وكانت النسبة المئوية أعلى ٪ 61.76 في العمر (1-6) - عامان ، بينما كانت النسبة المئوية للذكور المصابين تصل إلى 53.16٪ ، 50.55٪ على التوالي.
وفقًا لنوع التغذية ، كانت النسبة المئوية الأعلى 59.79٪ عند الرضع الذين يتلقون تغذية صناعية مقارنة بالنسبة المئوية٪ 41.09 عند الرضع الذين يرضعون من الثدي ، حيث كانت النسبة المئوية للإصابة بالطفيلي ٪ 57.32 في المناطق الريفية ، وهي أعلى من النسبة المئوية ٪ 59.46 في المناطق الحضرية ، كما أظهرت النتائج أن نسبة الإصابة بهذا الطفيلي كانت٪ 44.32 باستخدام تفاعل البلمرة المتسلسل في الوقت الحقيقي كاختبار تاكيدي

The results of this study were including detection of Entamoeba histolytica in an in patients infected infants with diarrhea in born and childrenʾs hospital in Al-Diwinyah province during the period from June until December 2014, the number of samples was 170 stool sample for age between one month-two years, these samples were examined by direct smear method by using physiological normal saline and Iodine solution, there 88 samples were positive in percentage %51.76 also the lower percentage was %36.17 recorded in age 1-6 months and the higher percentage was %61.76 in age (1-6)-two years, wherever the percentage of an infected male was closely which reach %53.16 ,%50.55 respectively.
According to type of feeding, the higher percentage was %59.79 in an infants with Artificial feeding compare with the percentage %41.09 in an infants with breast feeding, wherever the percentage of infection with parasite was %57.32 in rural region ,its higher than the percentage %59.46 in urban area, also the results were showed the percentage of infection with this parasite was %44.32 by using Real-time polymerase chain reaction as confirmative test.
