Abstract
During last several years, the HS algorithm has been vigorously applied to various optimization problems. The adopting the HS algorithm for pairwise testing is the main focus of this letter. In doing so, this letter illustrates the results produced using a Harmony Search Algorithm are possible, and suggest that the algorithm may be practical and useful in certain testing scenarios. In addition, this letter demonstrates the results of generating pairwise test sets using an optimization algorithm Harmony Search Algorithm. Compared to published results for eight benchmark problems, the Harmony Search approach produced test sets which were comparable in terms of size for all seven problems.
