Abstract
A group of pregnant womens were tested for the presence of cold Agglutinins. The tested pregnants were showing titres of 8-128 of cold agglutinins. While, marrid non pregnant womens showed titers of 2-8. Testing for 2ME effect showed one third of those with 128 titers were of IgM type. Such cold agglutinin response is not related to ABO groups of the pregnants.
Cold agglutinins titers were increased as number of pregnancies for a women is increased.
At first and late stages of pregnancy cold agglutinin titers are increased . The titre limits for tested pregnants indicates that this cold agglutinin responses are of secondary types.
