Reflecting on my teaching experiences, I appreciate the immeasurable impact that lecturers make on the lives of young people. I also realize that the skills and knowledge acquired in the labs and lecture theatres will be used by young people throughout life. Therefore, during my role as a demonstrator and later on as a lecturer for university students, I worked to be a role model that cultivates in young people, open minds, the knowledge and ability to look at the world critically, and the belief in one's capacity to make positive contributions to society. With this goal in mind, I enrolled in many volunteering activities that help to make science more understandable and lovable by youngsters and I achieved this by becoming an active member in STEMNET to deliver STEM subjects in a science-friendly environment.
