وسوف أحاول في هذه الورقة تشخيص أوضاع المخطوطات بحسب آخر ما توصلت إليه الدراسات بخاصة أن التغيير المنشود في مجال علم المخطوطات لم يحصل على مستوى قلّة عدد المحققين وضعف مستوى العديد المنهم ولعل السبب يرجع في ذلك إلى عدم إنشاء قاعدة بيانات عربية تضبط عدد تلك المخطوطات وأماكن تواجدها
