الملخص:
تهدف الدراسة الى تحديد مدى فائدة وجدوى الاستثمارات الأجنبية المباشرة في الدول المضيفة وتقويم أداء الاستثمارات الأجنبية المباشرة ودورها في النمو الناتج الوطني الاجمالي في دولة قطر خلال المدة (2013-1989).
تم تحليل السلاسل الزمنية الخاصة بالدراسة الحالية باستخدام الأسلوب الوصفي التحليلي، والأسلوب الإحصائي القياسي لقياس أثر وعلاقة بعض المتغيرات الاقتصادية مثل تدفق الاستثمار الاجنبي المباشر ونمو الإنفاق الحكومي ونمو العمل ونمو الانفتاح الاقتصادي بوصفها متغيرات مفسرة على معدل النمو الاقتصاديY (الناتج الوطني الاجمالي) بوصفه متغيراً معتمداً بالاستناد الى منطق النظرية الاقتصادية، وتم استخدام طريقة المربعات الصغرى ذات المرحلتين (2.S.L.S) لقياس هذه العلاقة. وخلصت الدراسة الى ان للاستثمارات الاجنبية المباشرة دوراً معنوياً ومؤثراً في النمو الاقتصادي( الناتج الوطني الاجمالي) وهذا يتفق مع منطق النظرية الاقتصادية. لذا نوصي بالاهتمام المتواصل في دعم قطاع التجارة الخارجية وخاصة قطاع التصدير وذلك لاستقطاب التدفقات لاكبر استثمارات اجنبية مباشرة وكذلك دعم الصناعات التصديرية ذات الكثافة العمالية، فهو يؤدي بدوره الى زيادة الطاقة التصديرية ويوفر فرص العمل للمواطنين كما انه يقلل من الاستيرادات.

The study aims to determine the usefulness and feasibility of direct foreign investments in the host countries and evaluate the performance of foreign direct investment and its role in GNP growth in Qatar during the period (2013-1989).
The special time-series analysis of the present study using descriptive analytical method, and the method of statistical standard for measuring the impact and the relationship of some economic variables such as foreign direct investment flows and growth government spending and the growth of employment and the growth of economic openness variables as explained on the economic growth rate Y (gross national product) as the dependent variable based on the logic of economic theory, was used method of least squares two-stage (2.SLS) to measure these relationship. The study concluded that foreign direct investment morally and influential role in the economic growth (gross national product) This is consistent with the logic of economic theory. Therefore, we recommend continuing interest in supporting the foreign trade sector, especially the export sector in order to attract flows of the largest foreign direct investment as well as support for labor-intensive export industries, it in turn leads to increased export capacity and provides jobs for the citizens as it reduces imports.
