Abstract
وتشير إلى تدهور الأرض في المناطق الجافة وشبه الجافة، وهي ناتجة عن نشاط إنساني غير ملائم وتغيرات مناخية سائدة في العالم. وتتسارع في العراق ظاهرة التصحر والتملح وتقدر نسبة الأراضي الزراعية التي تعاني من التملح ب 50% بسبب الإهمال لسنوات قطاع الزراعة والري . كما تراجعت مساحة الأراضي التي تغطيها الأشجار بسبب إهمال السلطات السابقة لهذا القطاع فقد تعرضت غابات الشمال إلى التلف بسبب القطع العشوائي وما رافقها من إحراق آلاف القرى .. كذلك تراجعت أعداد النخيل من حوالي 30 مليون إلى حوالي 12 مليون بسبب الحروب وقلة المياه والأمراض الزراعية والإهمال. لذا بات تدهور الغابات والنباتات الأخرى عاملا مهما في تدهور البيئة وتوجهها نحو الجفاف . أن آثار التصحر ذات امتداد واسع وان البيئة الحياتية في البصرة من البيئات المتأثرة بهذه الظاهرة. ، لما لها من أبعاد خطيرة فهي تتوسع سنويا في اتجاهات مختلفة، ومجال تأثيرها على الوضع البيئي والاقتصادي في المحافظة في توسع مستمر. ويهدف البحث إلى بيان الآثار البيئية والاقتصادية للتصحر وأشكاله في العراق عامة والبصرة بشكل خاص. وسبل المعالجات والحد من مظاهر التصحر في محافظة البصرة .وقد توصل البحث إلى استنتاج مهم وهو ضرورة نشر الوعي البيئي وإنشاء مراكز ومنظمات متخصصة بمسألة مكافحة التصحر وذلك من خلال التعاون بين تلك المراكز والمؤسسات البحثية والعلمية للحد من انتشار ظاهرة التصحر.
Abstract
The process of desertification of the most dangerous operations that threaten the peoples of the world and the ecosystem in general , refers to land degradation in arid and semi-arid , and is caused by human activity is inappropriate and climate changes prevalent in the world. And accelerating desertification in Iraq and salinization, and estimated the proportion of agricultural land affected by salinity by 50 % due to years of neglect of agriculture and irrigation sector . Also fell, the area of land covered by trees due to the negligence of the authorities prior to this sector
North Forest has suffered damage due to the indiscriminate cutting and the concomitant burning thousands of villages .. As well as the numbers of fallen palm of about 30 million to about 12 million because of the wars and the lack of water and agricultural diseases and neglect. So Pat degradation of forests and other vegetation is an important factor in the deterioration of the environment and its orientation towards drought.
