Abstract
تم استخلاص ماده اللكتين من بذور نباتي ال Lens culinaris و Cicer arietinum وتم ترسيبها باستخدام ملح سلفات الأمونيوم بتركيز ٤٠% ثم أزاله ماتبقى من الملح باستخدام البايوريت ثم درست بعض خواص هذه اللكتينات من ناحيه قابليتها ع تلزين كريات الدم الحمراء والبكتريا وتثبيط النمو الفطري .
Abstract
Two plant seeds (Cicer arietinum, Lens culinaris) were selected to this study. Lectins was extracted by precipitated with ammonium sulfate (40%) and then we dialysed the lectins solutions to removed the salts remanes from ammonium sulfate. by Biurate method Concentrations (4.6, 2.3) mg/ml for Cicer & (4, 2) mg/ml for Lens were used. Some characters for these lectins were study by their ability to agglutinate red blood cells (A, B, O) and some bacterial cells, the results appeared positive for both. The effect of fungal growth was studied and found that the lectins were able to inhibit the growth.
