سعت الدراسة إلى تشخيص ظاهرة الفقر في فلسطين وتحليل آثارها الاقتصادية والاجتماعية.
توصّلت الدراسة إلى أن عدم الاستقرار السياسي واستمرار الاحتلال الإسرائيلي للأراضي الفلسطينية واستمرار الحصار والانقسام أدى إلى اتساع دائرة الفقر في فلسطين وكذلك أبقى إمكانيات الفلسطينيين من تطوير اقتصادهم ومكافحة ظاهرة الفقر محدودة جداً.
أوصت الدراسة بضرورة تطوير سياسات الحماية الاجتماعية للفقراء من أجل التخفيف من حدة الفقر المنتشرة في فلسطين.
Abstract
The study sought to diagnose the phenomenon of poverty in Palestine and analyze its economic and social impacts.
The study found that political instability, the continued Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories, and the continued blockade and division led to the widening of the cycle of poverty in Palestine, as well as keeping the Palestinian capabilities to develop their economy and combat the phenomenon of poverty very limited.
The study recommended the necessity of developing social protection policies for the poor in order to alleviate poverty in Palestine.
