Abstract
This study aims at (a) investigating the pragmatic abilities of Iraqi schizophrenics on both the production and comprehension levels using APACS (b) identifying which Grice's (1975) maxims are most frequently violated by those patients; and (c) determining whether any of the demographic variables (gender, education, and age) has an effect on both their production and comprehension performance and violations as well
