Abstract: يتناول البحث الخصائص اللغوية لمستخلصات البحوث الانكليزية المنشورة في المجلات الامريكية وتلك المنشورة في العراق التي اعدها باحثون عراقييون من خلال تحليل نصي لثمانية في اربعة تخصصات هي الزراعة والتمريض والهندسة واللغات وقد بينت النتائج وجود نقاط اختلاف وتشابه في صياغة تلك المستخلصات من الفئتين من الباحثين
Abstract: .This paper explores the linguistic characteristics of English research article (RA) abstracts published in the United States (U.S.) and those published in Iraq, written by Iraqi authors Eight parallel sub-corpora were used in this study, comprised of RA abstracts in four disciplines (Agriculture, Nursing, Engineering, and Languages) from the U.S. and Iraq Results suggest similarities and interesting differences in how U.S.-based and Iraqi writers structure their abstracts
