- إن مجال الرعاية الصحية من المجالات المهمة التي كان للوقف دور بارز ومشهود في تقديم الخدمات الصحية للمرضى من جهة، والنهوض بعلم الطب وتعليمه من جهة أخرى . فعن طريق الأوقاف أنشأت المؤسسات الصحية الوقفية كالبيمارستانات (المستشفيات) ووقفت عليها الأموال لتلبية احتياجاتها، ولضمان استمرارية تقديم خدماتها، ولم تقتصر تلك المستشفيات على تقديم العلاج والدواء، بل تطورت لتصبح مراكز تعليمية أظهرت تفوق المسلمين علمياً وعملياً.
- Abstract
- The field of health care is one of the important areas in which the Waqf played a prominent role in providing health services to patients on the one hand, and advancing medical science and education on the other. Through the Waqf, health institutions such as Bimaristans (hospitals) were established, and funds have been allocated to these hospitals, in order to meet their needs and to ensure the continuity of their services. These hospitals have not only provided treatment and medicine, but have also developed into educational centers that have demonstrated the scientific and practical superiority of Muslims.
